THE SANDALS FOUNDATION

The Sandals Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, was created to continue and to expand upon the philanthropic work that Sandals Resorts International has undertaken.  It is the culmination of three decades of dedication to playing a meaningful role in the lives of the communities where we operate across the Caribbean. The Sandals Foundation funds projects in three core areas: education, community and the environment. One hundred percent of the monies contributed by the general public to the Sandals Foundation go directly to programs benefiting the Caribbean community. MILL REEF CLUBHOUSE

In 1948, long before the last stone of the Mill Reef Clubhouse was in place and the cement was dried, its founders established the Mill Reef Fund. The establishment of the Fund reflected the founding members’ gratitude and commitment to the islands and people of Antigua and Barbuda. Its mission which is adhered to today was to improve the lives of Antiguans through donations to medical, educational, general welfare, and religious institutions.

Mill Reef Fund is governed by a Board of Trustees who are proprietary members of the Mill Reef Club. The Trustees of The Mill Reef Fund cover all administrative and fundraising costs so that 100% of donors’ gifts go directly to worthy causes in Antigua and Barbuda.

THE DEW’S BRAND

The Dew’s brand is recognized as one of Antigua’s oldest trading companies.

Founded in 1929, the company has operated a number of business enterprises including a supermarket, car dealership, shipping, wholesale, office equipment and lumber and building materials. The company was bought by Mr. Anthony Garcia in 1964 who had originally been the company’s primary supplier of Honduras lumber.
