The available data indicate that the economically active population is most affected by Sexually transmitted Infections, specifically HIV, with the majority of notified cases of HIV occurring in persons between the ages of 15 and 49 years. Anecdotal evidence suggests that the most at-risk groups are the youth, between the ages 15 – 24 years.

The objective of TWC is to offer life skills training, and provide education and support to youth to encourage them to reduce or eliminate risky sexual behaviours. It also endeavours to change the environment in which youth are making decisions about relationships and sexuality by building the capacity of parents and community stakeholders and enhancing community resources to educate and support young people in making decisions that will affect the rest of their lives.

First Aid /CPR Training

Students are exposed to various techniques which can take care of conditions, from the simple cut, dealing with a broken hand, all the way to resuscitating someone if they go unconscious.

Disaster Preparedness

As we all know, we are prone to different types of natural disasters including earthquakes, flooding and hurricanes. Also with the effects of climate change we can see our islands changing. Within this program students learn how best to respond to natural disasters and also will be engaged in different projects to help reduce the effects of Climate Change in the communities.

Community Outreach

Here students are encouraged to participate in various volunteer opportunities of their choice and to give back to the community on various levels.

We are actively recruiting volunteers to assist with critical emergency responses across Antigua and Barbuda. Join our team today and help those who need it most!
